New Board is Elected
Our AGM Was A Great Success
The following slate of officers for 2007 was unanimously adopted during the January 20, 2007 AGM (Annual General Meeting). It is customary at the AGM to put forward and accept a slate of officers. This slate is later adjusted and ratified by the Board at their first meeting. Our first formal meeting of the 2007 Board was held, January 29. The officers listed below were agreed upon.
Since our Board members reside in various BC locations, meetings are held with a mix of some members attending in person while others simultaneously attend via a conference call. Please let Raj Gill know if you want to attend, in person or via conference call.

Local Trainers Awarded Grant
Developing New NVC Materials
BC trainers Judi Morin, Raj Gill, along with Lucy Leu, Seattle trainer and developer of The NVC Handbook, have received a $10,000 grant from Esther's Dream Foundation for the purpose of developing an NVC Toolkit for facilitators to use with NVC practice groups in prisons.
Judi Morin reports: "We have begun creating the exercises and sending them out to people working in prisons in various countries to try out and give us suggestions for improvement. So far about half the projected 75 exercises have been developed. We have Marshall's blessing and a commitment to write the forward for us. We hope to have it ready for publication by September 2006."
This group has applied to Corrections Canada for a contribution towards the creating of a DVD. The dream of the team is that after the materials are developed, tested, and published through DVD, they will become available to all of us to use in our NVC practice and share with others.
